Where does ASCENSION take place? - Guild Wars Forums

Everyone is always taking about ascension. Yes, I'm new to the game and I know everyone will tell me just play through and you'll find it.

HOWEVER, I just want to know where it is so that I can know when to look forward to it.

(1)Is it in a certain town or area or (2) does it come as a result of a certain series of quests?

If 1, where is it?

If 2, what is the chain of quests that I need to do to get there?

everyone is going to tell you to play the game because you spent 50 bucks on it...why would you want to ruin the plotline/story.

AND...the only answer to your question is play the game you'll eventually get to it. It's a series of missions in the Desert...the game WON'T let you miss it.

1. It is in the Crytal desert
2. Ascensions comes as a result of doing 3 major missions, and then beating a boss.

I don't know if this will spoil it or not, but what does ascension do for you? If it spoils something then by all means don't answer

No longer makes you lvl 20 after the patch, it's a flat one time 50k xp bonus now.

you'd have to be lvl13 or lower to not hit 20 with 50K exp

or at least 2-3 skill points if you are already lvl 20

Enjoy the plot, all I will say is it will reveal shortly after more of the real plot of the game (no spoliers from me).

You may want to check all the other forums you posted this same question in, you are getting a lot of answers
